Who is NÓMADA N5264C in KHAKI for?
For anyone who spends the day out and about, moving from one place to another: transport, street, office, street again. The high shaft and full lacing hold the ankle without locking it, so the foot keeps working as you walk. It is a unisex model, from size 36 to 46, and the wool lining places it firmly in the cold months. If you are coming from conventional footwear and want to start walking with fewer obstacles in the way, the minimalist level is a sensible middle ground.
Minimalist footwear
Zero drop: heel and forefoot sit at the same height, as they do when you walk barefoot. The sole is thin and flexible, with just enough material between you and the ground, letting the foot read the terrain and adjust its stride. The Comfort + last is wide across the toes, so the foot rests spread out and the intrinsic muscles work with every step. That improves balance and proprioception, and over time it shows in ankle and arch mobility.
Materials and construction
The sole is 8 mm soft rubber, with enough tread to grip on wet tarmac, and it bends with the foot instead of dictating a path. It is joined to the upper with 360º Strobel sewing, a construction with no rigid layers in between, which is why the boot flexes so easily. Inside, lining and insole in 4.5 mm natural lamb's wool: wool insulates, absorbs the foot's moisture and keeps the temperature steady without the clamminess of synthetic linings. The upper is oiled Arizona leather, which holds off water for a while before darkening and returns to its tone once dry. It closes with laces, metal eyelets and a rear pull tab.
Size guide
The Comfort + last is wide at the forefoot, and Arizona leather gives a little across the instep after the first few days without stretching in length. The wool takes up volume at first and compacts with use, so try the boot on with the winter sock you intend to wear. The lacing runs the length of the instep and lets you fine-tune the fit according to sock thickness.
