Founded by Gary Chaffin, Bend Shoe Co. introduced Birkenstock and comfort footwear to Central Oregon, quickly becoming a staple in the downtown community. Over the years, the shop has evolved through different owner, each leaving their mark while staying true to the store’s local roots. 

From Rena’s unforgettable personality and iconic sock wall to Christy’s community-driven stewardship, the store has always been about more than shoes, it’s about people.

Continuing the Tradition of Comfort and Fit

Today, owner Teague Hatfield and partner Tori Oshel continue that legacy with a focus on exceptional customer service, expert fittings, and high-quality comfort footwear.

With the addition of a second location on Bend’s eastside, Bend Shoe Co. has expanded its reach while maintaining the same personalized, thoughtful experience customers have trusted for decades.
